Nourish: July Seasonal Water Infusion
Peach Ginger Glow
A bright, lightly spiced infused water built around three of July's best ingredients — simple to make, beautiful to look at, and a reason to drink more water without having to think about it.
Peach, ginger, and orange are a combination that feels like it was designed for July. The peach brings sweetness and that unmistakable stone-fruit warmth. The ginger adds a little edge — something bright and slightly sharp that keeps it from being too simple. The orange rounds everything out with a citrus lift that makes the whole pitcher feel almost effervescent even before you add sparkling water. Together, they make a drink that's genuinely refreshing, visually stunning in a pitcher or glass, and easy enough that there's no reason not to make a batch every few days through the month.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe peaches, pitted and thinly sliced
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced into coins
- 1 orange, thinly sliced into rounds (no need to peel)
- 8 cups cold water (still or sparkling)
- Ice, for serving
Optional Additions
- A few fresh mint leaves, for a cooling lift
- A pinch of cayenne, if you want the ginger heat more pronounced
Method
- 1 Add the sliced peaches, ginger, and orange rounds to a large pitcher.
- 2 Using a wooden spoon, gently press the fruit to release some of their juice and oils — don't mash, just a light press. This jumpstarts the infusion without turning the water cloudy.
- 3 Pour the cold water over the fruit.
- 4 Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours. The longer it sits (up to overnight), the more pronounced the flavor — especially the ginger, which intensifies over time.
- 5 Stir gently before serving, then pour over ice into glasses, spooning a few pieces of fruit in for presentation.
- 6 Refill the pitcher with fresh water once or twice using the same fruit before the flavor fades.
Britt's note
If you prefer a milder ginger flavor, remove the ginger coins after 2 hours and let the peach and orange continue to infuse on their own.
For a sparkling version, use still water for the infusion and add sparkling water to individual glasses just before serving — this keeps the bubbles from going flat.
This is a drink that invites you to try something you wouldn't normally reach for. Most people hydrate out of habit — the same water, the same glass, the same time of day. Peach Ginger Glow Water is a small invitation to do something slightly different: to combine ingredients that don't obviously belong together and trust that they'll work. They do. And that's the spirit of curiosity — not grand experiments, but small, low-stakes moments of trying something new and finding out it's better than you expected.

Most people hydrate out of habit — the same water, the same glass, the same time of day. This pitcher is a small invitation to do something slightly different. Peach, ginger, and orange don't obviously belong together, but they work beautifully — sweet, a little sharp, with just enough warmth from the ginger to make it interesting. Ten minutes of prep, and hydration that actually feels like a treat.
